Jade Harmony Professional 3/16-Inch Yoga Mat

This yoga mat came from Jade Harmony and they have a pretty good reputation, so I picked one up last year when my old mat wore out. This mat is fairly standard looking and it seems to wear out at a normal rate, so I don’t think I’ll be able to get more than a year of use out of it, but it has superior grip and is really very soft. I practice yoga on a hardwood floor, both at home and in my class, and I’ve been pretty pleased in both places, the 3/16 inches of cushion were definitely not wasted on me. This mat is also 74 inches long which for a 6′2″ guy like myself is definitely crucial.

I have found that this mat is pretty easy to clean using water and letting it drip dry, or by . I had been trying antibacterial wipes, but I didn’t want to add to the already pretty strong rubber smell, which is probably the only negative attribute I’ve noticed to this so far. The smell sticks to hands pretty well, so it’s probably advisable to wash your hands after touching it a lot.
